This authority site earns its money by reviewing various health supplements and receiving a commission from sales as an affiliate. Traffic for the site was up 168% year-over-year in September 2017 and the new owner can grow even more with the backlog of  80+ unpublished articles targeting high volume, low competition keywords included in the sale.
Included in the sale are social media accounts for Facebook (~400 followers) and Twitter (~2,500 followers) that are responsible for roughly 5-7% of traffic to the site.
The included email list has about 3,000 subscribers that serves as a valuable asset to the business. It has an autoresponder for an exit intent popup, which sends an email with affiliate links. There is also an autoresponder “welcome” sequence for people who opt in on the home page (a “welcome” email + one follow-up with top content). The seller also tries to send out an email once every week or every other week with any new coupon codes or new content, although there have been periods of a month or two without emails.
The seller has been link building on a regular basis using blog outreach and guest posts, getting about 20-25 links each month since January 2017. The seller stopped building links for 3-4 weeks in May 2017 when the site was hit with a manual penalty.
*During the summer of 2016, the seller added about 65 very long form guides targeting keywords in the niche. Traffic took off, but the site was hit with a rich snippet penalty in May 2017. The seller removed the snippet from all but a couple of posts and traffic has mostly recovered since then. Some big keywords that lost top rankings are still ranking around the bottom of the first page of search results.

***The seller purchased the site in 2013 and changed the domain from a .org to a .com. There are 301 redirects for affiliate links and to update pages to new URLs.
