The site has three income streams. The first and largest stream is affiliate income from online survey sites. These sites will pay a fee for each new account opened by someone who clicked a link on the site. The second is through direct advertising done with AdSense. The third is paid or sponsored articles. The Seller regularly receives requests to put up paid articles with a link. The Seller rarely agrees to this for lack of time, and this is an opportunity for the Buyer to explore.
The Seller spends less than an hour each week on the site. They just check visitor communications from time to time. At the end of the month, the Seller checks the earnings of different affiliates and prepare and send an invoice to the one affiliate that requires it. From time to time, the Seller changes or edits some of the affiliate links in some articles based on performance or requests from the affiliates. Towards the end of the year, the Seller review the articles and make any changes to keep them up to date.
The majority of traffic is from organic search. There is an email list of 5K+ subscribers, the majority Australian. The list is growing at an average of 50 sign-ups per week. The Seller has not sent any emails to the list for some time and it is not being monetized in any way. This is an opportunity for the Buyer to expand.
*There was a drop in traffic in March/April 2017 that the Seller believes was some sort of negative SEO attack, as they received several links of dubious quality in a hurry. The Seller disavowed these links and nothing like this has happened since.
