This listing is for a dropshipping business created in March 2017 in the sports & outdoors niche. The Shopify site features a range of products relating to transportation and recreation, including some using new technologies. Only 25% of the traffic is organic thanks to a paid traffic system in place. This business has a diversified product line and is seasonal with the highest sales during the holidays.
The main paid traffic strategy focuses on shopping campaigns for Google Ads and Bing. The Seller also has re-targeting ads using Facebook. All products are dropshipped and fulfilled directly from the suppliers located throughout the US. Since partnering in the business, the Seller has given the store a complete overhaul in design, marketing, and paid traffic. A VA is fully trained on uploading products according to quality standards. The VA also keeps the stock levels updated. These tasks are managed via Trello.
*There have been stable earnings over the last year, though due to the mistiming of sales vs returns, this is difficult to gauge from the graph.
*In August 2018, the Seller experienced some issues with product quality and had to refund a few orders, with no replacement from the supplier. They removed the supplier as a result of this. This affected the revenue of August.
Email marketing to past customers and newsletter opt-ins. An email list of almost 800 subscribers has not yet been monetized beyond an automated abandoned car sequence with some basic segmentation for a few brands.
Expanding ads and Bing PPC marketing. Knowing what the popular products are using Google and Bing Shopping campaigns, the accounts are fully seasoned with conversion data. The next logical move is creating search network campaigns for both Google and Bing and maximizing the exposure of search results.
Expanding the product brands.
This niche lends itself well to influencer and affiliate marketing. There are thousands of related but non-competing sites and thousands of “influencers" relevant to this market who could be paid either a fixed fee or a percentage commission to send visitors to the site.
There is a nice potential to grow a community of enthusiastic users of this line of products. The Buyer could create relevant blog content with reviews and brand comparisons, a Facebook group, or a forum.
