A service site created in April 2014 in the publishing niche. This is a very interesting business model that helps people find contracted writers for their businesses. This would be a site for a DIY David who wants to take over the business to expand it while also taking the time to run it. The model of the business is quite unique, and there is plenty of room to grow the business within the current country, as well as countries outside of where the TLD states. A minimal amount of time is required to maintain the business's current earning, but with so much of the business running on outsourced work, it can be completely hands off by finding a few more people to work on the day to day activities.
The seller would add lots more content to further boost organic rankings, and potentially work on the landing pages. The seller would then hire a PPC expert to re-establish PPC campaigns on AdWords and Bing - and retargeting too (perhaps AdRoll). Seller would also focus on building an email list and marketing to that list on an on-going basis with offers and deals, to keep the flow of work consistent year round. The seller would also become active on social media, and participate in guest blogging opportunities.
Work & Skills Required
Day to day tasks are just answering leads by emails and by telephone. This can easily be outsourced to a VA. If the buyer chooses to do the writing themselves then they also need to do that, but the seller hasn’t done that for the last year due to being so busy. The buyer can find writers on sites like Upwork, Guru, PPH, etc. Only other tasks would include bookkeeping and PPC management (if buyer goes down that route) but they’re just general business tasks.
Seller Support Includes
The seller can provide 30 days of email support, but really the business is self explanatory. The buyer should respond to leads (via email and telephone), offer quotes, then find a writer to forward work to - or do the writing themselves.
