A Time for Giving Back & an Opportunity For You

It’s the time of gift giving, when people set up trees in their living rooms and put brightly wrapped boxes underneath. When we look at our lifestyle, every one of us in the online world is pretty lucky. For most of us, we can work from anywhere in the world, and the money usually isn’t that bad, either.
When Empire Flippers first started out, back in our AdSense Flippers days, we decided to put something special together for the holiday season. At the time, the majority of the team was based in Davao, Philippines. So we decided to team up with other entrepreneurs and raise money to buy gifts for some of the most impoverished areas in Davao.
The results were pretty amazing (and heartwarming).

As digital nomads, we like to stretch our income by moving away from more expensive cities and countries to places where we can live in relative luxury and ease such as Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
This year we want to continue our tradition, and give back to these communities –– specifically Ho Chi Minh City, where a majority of our management team has been living for the past couple of years.
While we could certainly put together something ourselves, we thought it would be pretty fun to invite our community here to help out. That is why we decided to put together a GoFundMe and make it easy for people in our community to help spread the holiday cheer with us.

Our GoFundMe to Make the Holidays a Bit Brighter in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Ho Chi Minh City has been good to us.
It is a flourishing metropolis, where both expat and Vietnamese entrepreneurs are really starting to take off. This city holds a special place in our hearts. We thought, what better place to continue our holiday tradition than this city with some of the best people in the world?
To involve everyone in the Empire Flippers community, we have set up a GoFundMe page here.
Our goal is to raise $2,000 by December 15th, 2016. When we achieve that goal, we will DOUBLE the budget by throwing in an extra $2,000 ourselves. This amount represents a lot of gifts and good cheer being spread around Ho Chi Minh City.
This is where you come in and have an opportunity to give back to the community virtually from the comfort of your own home, and help get some cool gifts for some cool kids.
If you have ever been to Ho Chi Minh City yourself, or if you’re just a digital nomad that has fallen in love with this kind of lifestyle and looking to give back, then feel free to participate.

Here you can share on both Facebook and Twitter with your friends to talk about our GoFundMe campaign. Share your experiences in Ho Chi Minh City, how being a digital nomad has made you to want to give back to the places you stay over the holidays, or whatever compelled you to contribute. Heck, maybe you’ve never even been to Ho Chi Minh City but you just like the idea of giving back!
The process is super easy and user friendly. I literally donated money while zipping through and taking the screenshots for this post.
It takes less than five minutes to do a world of good.
If you are looking to give back this year to those less fortunate, this is a great start. The children in Ho Chi Minh City will be super excited to receive unexpected gifts, and we will be even more excited to go around the city and hand out those gifts!
