The most common question we get is “How do I see the URL?”

This question is what stops most buyers in their tracks.

But once we explain the why behind our process over the phone–which is what we’ll share with you below–they understand the necessity in hiding the URL.

So, why are we creating friction and making it more difficult to do business? Are we out of our minds?

We actually hide the URLs to the benefit of both buyers and sellers.

That sounds crazy, but hear us out.

The first benefit is that it helps us separate the non-serious from the serious buyers.

We can’t do our jobs effectively and provide our premium services if 85% of our time is spent answering inquiries from people who never intended to spend money anyway. We’d be tying up our resources for no reason.

We’re following the Pareto Principle and focusing on the 20% of buyers who drive 80% of the sales.

Now where do the benefits for buyers and sellers come in?

Imagine you’re selling your website/business and the URL is live. Great, serious buyers can quickly scan to see if the purchase is right for them or not.

But… In the darkest corners of the internet live copycats, people scouring the web for profitable niches, strategies, and websites to duplicate. They see the URL, learn it’s making $X per month, and they decide to copy everything.

Suddenly, the website seller has a dozen new competitors that weren’t there before. When the website is sold, the new buyer is competing with an influx of copycats.

Despite our unlock process, there are people in online job boards who are literally posting tasks for people to visit our site, trying to find clues to determine what the URLs are. This actually happens. We’ve seen these jobs posted.

That’s why we ask you to unlock a listing before revealing the URL.

Here’s what you get access to when you unlock a listing:

  • Any relevant URL’s
  • Non-redacted screenshots
  • Answers to any and all inquiries
  • Scheduling calls with the seller if needed
  • Access to Google Analytics backend (if applicable)
  • Any additional info we have on the business and seller

How to Unlock a Listing

First, you’ll need to visit a listing that’s currently available for sale on our marketplace.

To the right of the listing page are two buttons: “Buy Now” and “Unlock Listing”.

Once you click on the “Unlock Listing” button, you’ll be sent to a page where you can choose an option to unlock the listing.

After paying, click the “Complete Order” button to be sent to a required form. This will create a ticket for us in the backend to provide all the details for you.

Any payments to unlock a listing are 100% refundable, no questions asked.
