This listing is for a subscription business created in November 2016 in the entertainment niche. The Cratejoy site features a monthly boxset service with the theme based around a popular fantasy series. With product vendors and a 3PL service in place, the Seller spends about 20 hours per week maintaining the business.

This business primarily generates revenue from a monthly subscription (100%) for its themed box sets as well as selling overstock items separately as complete boxes for those who missed out that month. A majority of the traffic to the business stems from organic search (42.8%) social (39.2%) and direct (16.9%), with the top countries in terms of traffic including the US (48.7%) UK (9.7%) and CAN (5.3%) marketplaces respectively.

The asset has one main supplier who does the majority of in-house designs, with other sourced items coming from independent makers and creators. Multiple suppliers have been used in the past and around a dozen or so have been used multiple times over the years.

The Seller currently performs most of the operations for the business including customer service, contacting vendors and manufacturers for new products, work on future product design and curation, communicating with vendors on existing projects, social media engagement, shipping labels, designing and ordering printed materials for boxes, ordering shipping supplies, submitting vendor payments, communicating with and processing commission payments for social media reps, and managing a marketing assistant (contracted position).

The business also includes social media accounts for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter. Twitter is rarely used. YouTube is mainly used to comment on reps' videos or answer questions. Instagram and Facebook are the main channels that are focused on, and they are both important to the health of social traffic.

The asset includes an email list with over 13,830 emails separated into current/former subscribers and a general news/marketing email list. The subscriber list also has the ability to be segmented further and currently, sends 1-2 marketing emails a month and when needing to update customers about a shipping delay or product information. There is one automation set up currently that gives traffic a free printable and a code for 10% off their first boxset when they subscribe to the general news list, and more information will be provided to active Buyers.

Google Analytics stopped tracking in April. The issue was resolved in June but partial traffic data is not available.
