  • The potential of our website is huge because it is an evergreen niche. The more people want a website, do internet marketing or social media, the more we sell our services. When we first started this, at the end of 2014 start of 2015, we basically started it with around $500. Since then we always tried to grow this business without spending too much money, and that is what we did. We got to this point with the help of our buyers, who have spread the word about the quality of our services and with the little paid advertising we did.
  • The risks for this business is if the buyer will start to lower the quality we currently offer. What we mean be this, is that we always tried to make less profit but offer great services instead of the contrary. So for example if on one server we now have 15 clients and things work smoothly, if the buyer decides he wants more profit and he adds 5 more clients to that server, this could be a risk because people will notice the quality have dropped. I would not recommend this.
  • Instead, the opportunities for this are endless. Is depends on the what the buyer want to do with this, to continue with the same medium grow of the revenue and profit, or to invest aggressively in advertising but to see the results in 3-6 months.
  • These are some of our recommandations for the buyers:
  • - Advertising in internet marketing forums. That is where the clients come from, because everyone who wants a website needs hosting. We are widely known in few forums, but we have “basic” listing there. If you are willing to pay for front page advertising or even cheaper, you will get plenty of clients from there.
  • - Our most sold product is Windows VPS and that can be used for a large number of tasks. For example, Forex is a huge niche. Most of the guys who are into Forex needs to run some softwares that do all kind of math in order to optimize their tasks. Those softwares need a PC that runs 24/7 and here is where our Windows VPS come in help. We have some clients from that niche, because we have a deal with Forexboat.com. But this niche needs to become more important, there are dozens of online forums, communities, blogs, websites where you can make deals or pay advertising.
  • - GPU VPS – This is the next generation of a VPS and could be huge if launched properly. A GPU VPS is a super powerful VPS with a top video card. They can use the VPS for playing games, video editing and more. That can’t be done with a classic VPS because a normal server doesn’t have a powerful video card. If this becomes the buyer's focus, there may be quite a bit of opportunity here. This would be our next move if we were keeping the business and we already have some traction and traffic here. A GPU VPS can be promoted to a large number of niches: students, architects, designers, video editors, gamers and more.
  • - Start to build the Blog section even more. It is very important to continue to write useful and related content on the blog. We don’t post too often to the blog but if you post 4-8 posts per month, this can bring you a large number of visitors from Google to buy your services.
  • - Create free contests. We had a competition with Free VPS that worked great for us. You can use Gleam.io services to make the members who enter the competition to share your website to different social media websites. This will bring you also paid clients beside the people who only want a Free VPS. It is a great way to promote your services and it has the potential to go viral.
  • These are some of our strategies for the buyer. Of course we can offer more ideas and even help to the buyer, but these are the main things that must be done.
Work & Skills Required
  • Technical side of the tasks:
  • Every day you must verify the email to see what is new and if something needs to be done. If there is a serious problem with a server that can affect our users, we also get an email with the problem. In case there is no problem with you must check the tickets. First of all you must take the technical tickets and solve the important ones. Most of the tickets though are not problems itself, there are cases where users forget their password or don’t know how to do a particular thing and you solve that in a matter of seconds. There are about 5-10% of the tickets that really have a technical issues behind.
  • This is all when it comes to the technical side and solving things. The other part is that you must verify the server resources and if overnight you had 15 new orders let’s say, you have to buy another server, configure it and add it to the cluster. A Sysadmin knows how to do this easily. About 90% of our system is automated, meaning that you must monitor things and not do anything. In a small percentage we still sell services on our old servers, and things need to be done manually there. But that happens a few times per month.
  • This should take 1-3 hours every day to do it. You must check the emails in the morning but also throughout the day to see if there is something important.
  • Marketing/Design/Website part:
  • Every day you must verify the tickets and see if there is anything related to sales, commercial support, website problem and so on. You must fix those problems. Most of the times there are not such problems. Also you must verify the emails and the online forums where our services are listed.
  • From time to time you can send an email with the latest promotions or with something more specific. Also, most of the times we do some designs for the offers we have (banners).
  • Besides that, every day or few days a week we have done some manual marketing. This means posting quality comments on related blogs, posting on forums, checking competition and see how they promote themselves, creating web 2.0 websites. This has been over the time, right now the website is pretty solid from that point of view. Also, all we did to this was 100% white hat, we never used any grey or black hat technique on this.

The support can be done with the help of Email, Skype, Webex (with hands on), documentation, diagrams and more if needed. Basically, everyday for 30 days we will be available for 2-4 hours to help the buyer. This includes technical support, website itself, marketing and everything else involved in this process.
