An informational website created in August 2009 in the Non-profit Fundraising niche. The majority of the income is earned from selling classes. There are currently over 1.5 million non-profits in the United States alone that raise over $250 billion per year. The classes offered are geared at NPO’s looking to run successful fundraisers and improve other parts of their foundations, which is a huge market. There are over 20+ courses offered and they include podcasts, webinar videos, written guides, etc. The business has accumulated a large email subscriber list (24K) and has a steady track record of earnings.

Opportunities
Traffic generation. The current business model is to get visitors to come to the site and sign up for an e-mail newsletter, and then to purchase classes and webinars. The business is a well-known name in their space but do not currently do any traffic generation, link building or advertising. New owners could significantly increase traffic by focusing on traffic generation.
Advertising sales. There is a huge amount of interest in advertising on our site and particularly in sending solo blast e-mails to our list. New owners could significantly increase advertising revenue by selling additional display ad slots or solo blast e-mails. Almost everyone in our space knows our site and is hungry to reach the huge number of people who visit our site and read our newsletter on a weekly basis.
Raise prices. Many competitors in our space have been increasing prices for online training. New owners could likely increase prices by 10-25% with very little drop off in purchases.
Expand product line. New owners could hire experts in the space to conduct recorded webinars and/or write additional classes and add those products to the site. Many experts in this space are willing to do so for free or a nominal fee ($100-$250) in order to increase name recognition.
White label sales. Several years ago Seller experimented with offering other website in the space the chance to sell our classes and webinars on their own sites under a revenue-split model. This was successful but we didn't have the time to focus on it. New owners could partner with other sites to sell white-labeled classes, webinars and books.
Affiliate program. There are thousands of websites in this space that are looking for ways to monetize. New owners could launch an affiliate program to increase sales.
Work & Skills Required
The work and skills required to run this site include:
Posting newsletters and class notices on a weekly basis (approx. 2 hours per week) - all newsletters are copy and pasted from old newsletters, no new article writing is required. All class notices are also copy/paste from previous notices.
Communicating with major advertisers and selling advertising space (approx. 1 hour per week)
Overseeing VA / customer service (approx. 1-2 hours per week.
The total amount of time to run this business is approximately 5 hours per week. Sellers currently have 1 virtual assistant who works 20 hours per week posting classes and dealing with customer service issues. The VA could handle additional duties, if desired, and would like to stay on if the new owner is interested in keeping them. The classes are currently posted manually each week by the VA, this could be automated with class presentation software if desired by the new owner.
Seller Support Includes
This is a great business and the sellers want the new owner to be as successful with it as they have been. Sellers will provide 6 months of support and coaching to help the new owner, including phone calls / video conferencing and email support. Sellers will walk the new owner through the entire business and be available to answer questions, troubleshoot, etc.
Additionally, the sellers will introduce the new owners to their advertisers to ensure a smooth transition. The site's VA has been working with them for the past 2.5 years and is interested in staying on. If the new owner is interested in keeping the VA, the sellers will also introduce the new owner to the VA to ensure a smooth transition.
