Long Tail Pro Discount

Justin Cooke Updated on February 29, 2020

Building backlinks to your sites is a huge pain. There are a ton of different tools available on the market for you to choose from, but most of our success at ranking has come through an extensive keyword research process and NOT off-page backlinks. Long Tail Pro has been instrumental in our success at finding profitable niches for quite some time now. You’ll see that we focus quite heavily on keyword research here at AdSenseFlippers.com and that’s not by accident. By efficiently targeting the right keywords, we’ve been able to build an empire of niche sites that has been quite profitable for us over the last year, earning us $115,166.59 in the last 6 months.

Our focus on keyword research has led to us trialing quite a few other KW tools (Market Samurai, SECockpit, and others) and we’ve found LTP to be the most effective at delivering the golden nugget keywords we need to continue to build out our sites for profit. We’ve given short-term discounts before and even handed out free copies to those who attended our webinar. We’re excited to announce that we’ve worked out a deal to offer you a permanent discount of over 20% off the regular price of Long Tail Pro, saving you $20.00 on your purchase!

**Note: This is an old review, so some of the things we mention in here are no longer correct. LTP remains one of the powerhouse tools for keyword research on the market though.

There are a few other sites that claim to offer a discount on Long Tail Pro, but the best we could find was $10.00 off, so this seems to be the best deal on the market right now. (Funny enough, a few of them are using exact match domains to get ranked and yet they don’t offer the discount!) We’re excited we were able to work this out with Spencer and thought we’d share some of the different ways we are currently using LTP so that you can effectively start finding profitable keywords right out the gate.

Who This Is For:

  • Anyone struggling to find keywords that meet the required guidelines
  • Anyone spending more than 2 hours per month researching keywords manually
  • Anyone who’s struggled with Market Samurai when it comes to speed, crashing, etc.
  • Anyone who has used SECockpit and always seems to find the good niches are already taken
  • Anyone looking for effective primary and secondary keywords to target for their niche site, authority sites, or blog

Who This Is Not For:

  • Someone looking for an all-in-one system to track their authority site or a host of niche sites
  • Someone looking to setup long-term campaigns to track their sites
  • Someone primarily looking for a rank tracking tool for their authority or niche sites (We would suggest Whoosh Traffic for an easy and cheap option)

Long Tail Pro is what it is: A down-and-dirty keyword tool that quickly cuts through the BS and gets you the profitable keywords you’re looking for. Below, we’ll cover the different ways we use LTP to analyze keywords and give you our views and comparisons against other tools that are on the market today.

Here’s an overview as to how we use seed keywords to find our profitable niches today and save ourselves over 80% of the research time it would take us to manually do the same.

Long Tail Pro Review:

One of the best features of LongTailPro is the fact that you can use multiple seed keywords to begin your research. Since we don’t particularly care about the industry with our process, this allows us to include some variance in our keyword research selection and find the best keywords across a host of industries and niches.

While I’d say we only use LTP to analyze the SEO Competition on around 30% of the available niches we’re targeting, this step is critical in determining the right keywords to target and domains to purchase when we’re not able to immediately recognize a “soft” or “difficult” Google first page from from eyeballing it. It’s this piece that allows us to avoid keywords that “look” alright, but ultimately have competition that’s too tough and that we shouldn’t be targeting. Take a look at how we’re able to quickly judge the competition for a keyword:

30% off LongTailPro here

Market Samurai Vs. Long Tail Pro

Long Tail Pro Vs. Market SamuraiWhen we started building niche websites, we started off using Market Samurai and loved it. The tool was quite robust and allowed us to fairly quickly target and find niche keywords. After a few months we started to have some major problems and the software would crash, become extremely slow, etc. During this period they were putting out a ton of updates but, unfortunately, none of them were working for us. Here are some of the advantages and disadvantages LongTailPro has when compared to Market Samurai.

LTP Advantages:

  • Much faster at finding profitable keywords
  • Much faster at analyzing the SEO Competition
  • Ability to target multiple seed keywords from the start
  • A simpler interface or UI

LTP Disadvantages:

  • A less polished look and feel
  • Less robust in terms of additional features ad long-term data
  • Less established founder than the team at Noble Samurai

SECockpit Vs. Long Tail Pro

Long Tail Pro Vs SECockpitWe’d heard some great things about SECockpit and were excited to try it out. We kept delaying, though, as higher priority projects were in the way, but we finally settled down and decided to take a look at the software. I’ll warn you that we have less experience with this tool than we do with Market Samurai, but we did give it a full month and wanted to share some of our thoughts and experiences.

LTP Advantages:

  • More available keywords as each search is unique and the data is not cached (We found this to be more of a problem with SECockpit, actually. They store the data for periods of time and it felt like by the time we got around to the keyword, the best domains for us were already taken)
  • Can filter by only exact match, .com/.net/.org (SECockpit would show when these were available, but we were not able to filter out keywords with dashes in them, meaning there were more keywords to sift through to find the ones we would use)
  • Much more simplistic and right to the point

LTP Disadvantages:

  • With cached data, SECockpit was faster at delivering keywords (Less keywords we would use…but SECockpit was still faster)
  • Lack of monthly fee for LTP may mean better support from SECockpit down the road
  • SECockpit was much more robust in terms of long-term data tracking, adding linkbuilding campaigns, etc. A more all-in-one solution

All-in-all, we feel Long Tail Pro is “best in breed” when it comes to keyword research specifically, but lacks the full-solution functions of Market Samurai and SECockpit. If you’re looking for an all-in-one solution and keyword research is not as critical for you, LTP may not be your best choice, but if you’re looking for profitable keywords to target for your authority site, niche site, or blog, you can’t go wrong here. Long Tail Pro comes with a full 60 day money back guarantee so there’s no risk to try it out. If you’ve been on the fence, have struggled with other tools, or are having difficulty finding keywords, we strongly encourage you to pick up this tool today.

No-Risk, 60 day, 100% money back guarantee!

Thanks a lot for the 20% discount … I am a big fan of LTP after reading few reviews about it.

  • Btbuzz says:

I actually bought it thru you guys a hour ago, but the key code dosen’t work
now the long wait for the support group, looking forward to it though

    • JustinWCooke says:

Thanks for your purchase! Spencer’s usually pretty good/quick about getting back to requests, but it IS the weekend so please be patient.

Do let us know what you think about the tool as well…we’re interested in hearing how it works for you.

  • Freud says:

    Hi!

    Sorry my english!

In LTP i can put keywords in Spanish?
How many Computers i can use LTP?

    Great discount guys!, Bye!

  • Mark says:

Does LTP work on the Mac or is it Windows only?

  • Mohit says:

Thanking my stars because I was one of the early birds who jumped on Long Tail Pro when it was released. I never had to buy another keyword research software to find the EMDs.

    • JustinWCooke says:

      Hey Mohit,

I don’t think we actually bought LTP on release…shortly after, probably, and only because we liked Spencer so much and thought we’d check it out! It came in handy when we started having problems with Market Samurai though, for sure…

  • Shinu says:

Hey guys, I was just wondering: were any of your niche sites effected by the penguin update?

    • JustinWCooke says:

      Hey Shinu,

Some sites went up, some went down in the rankings. The first day or two we didn’t notice a change at all, but it looks like we’re settling in at around a 15% hit across the board? We’ll have more info through the middle of this week, though…

  • This is such a super tool! you need this tool or at least something similar if your going to build any sort of niche site empire. Ive only had small problems with it not fetching domains but that is only minor other than that, amazing! If i didn’t already have this tool id buy it right now from you guys 🙂

    • JustinWCooke says:

      Sweet, Matt.

We should talk again soon, man. I was interested in the stats on your latest batch of niche sites we were discussing Saturday night…we should follow up on that!

  • I’ve tried Market Samurai, SECockpit, Traffic Travis….and Long Tail Pro is the most powerful keyword researching tool in our arsenal, hands down.

    • JustinWCooke says:

      Sweet, Josh!

We’ve never tried Traffic Travis, but the others we’re familiar wit, of course. LongTailPro doesn’t LOOK very polished…but what he did well was making it simple to use and straight to the point, we think. In the end…it does what we want/need it to do…which is find us the money! 🙂

      • Definitely, that’s what I love about it. It’s surely doesn’t have the depth that SEcockpit and Market Samurai does, but it get’s straight to the point and finds the best keywords faster than any other program that we’ve tried. Definitely worth the cost for us.

  • Thanks for bringing this tool to my attention. The first I had heard about it was on your show. It’s definitely streamlined keyword research for me and relieved some frustration I had using MS. I still use MS for some deep research, but the seed research in LTP is so much faster.

I hope you got a commission for my purchase!

    • JustinWCooke says:

I’m sure we did, Jason, thank you! It will be on the next income report! 🙂

It’s a pretty sweet tool…we’ve talked to Spencer and he’s got some plans for it in the coming weeks and months that should make it even better we think. It’s lacking a bit in all of the features of Market Samurai though, as you point out…

  • Coolal500 says:

    HI adsense flippers

the longtail pro looks great but i would like to know if you heard about this program and what you think about it:

    stealth keyword digger:

    stealth keyword competition analyzer:

please let me know this just looks amazing tool

    • Thanks for stopping by, but I had to edit your comment and remove the links. I don’t know much about that product and links to WSO’s here are not allowed. I will have to check it out one of these days though.

      • Coolal500 says:

hi i am sorry for putting wso links just wanted to show you the page of the item. but i was wondering if this is as good as long tail keyword. bec this is much cheaper?

        • JustinWCooke says:

          We really don’t know, honestly.

Really, there are a ton of tools that are popping up all of the time. We try to avoid getting involved in most of them as they tend to distract us from our goals, heh. There are sites that do lots of product reviews, but that’s not really our focus…

          • Coolal500 says:

            ok i understand.

just curous i found another tool called keyword scout did you heard about this tool? is this good or better??

            thank you

          • As Justin said we don’t have the time to test every tool on the market, so right now we recommend LTP.

  • Ralph Kooi says:

Guys, you are killing me here!
First you guys wrote a great eBook which I was writing too..
    Now offering discounts.. jeeez!

No you guys are on a great roll and love hearing about it. Rock on!

Here’s my comparison of LTP with the Google Keyword Search tool:
    http://www.thelongtailproreview.com/keyword-search-tool-long-tail-pro-vs-google-keyword-tool

I also have a template which I use to monitor my site’s income and expenses. This is probably a bit to basic for guys like yourself but I’d be happy to give this to the AdsenseFlippers community (http://www.thelongtailproreview.com/long-tail-pro-bonus)

    Cheers,

    Ralph

  • Peter Jaques says:

I’ve been using LTP for a few weeks but lately my the results stop halfway through either the keyword stage or the EMD stage. I’ve logged a ticket and they’ve asked me to provide further information. Anyone else finding this?

  • Matt Hagens says:

I’m really torn. Was using LTP first, then switched to SECockpit. I just don’t feel that the monthly expense is worth it anymore and the cached data is a real problem IMO. Sometimes its 5-6 weeks old. Also, I kinda feel like there isn’t much skill needed to use SECockpit, so there are lots of people fighting over the same kw’s. Just add some filters and off to the races. LTP takes some nohow, practice and skill – which I like. Allows me to find terms that other people don’t. The ability to add proxies would be really nice and some more advanced first page analysis functionality.

  • Andre Garde says:

LTP still isn’t capable of producing enough keywords a day for me to feed on. I had to stop using it because:

    a) It doesn’t support proxies.
    b) Because of a), I got IP banned for a week. Yes, I could’ve made a new AdWords account, but I shouldn’t have to do that.

I just don’t like tools that rely on GAKT at the desktop level. This is why I still use SECockpit and it works for me. Sadly the price puts it out of reach of a lot of people.

MS pretty much died after the last major update awhile ago when they switched some of their internal processes to Bing. It just hasn’t worked well (not even as good as LTP).

    • TryBPO says:

      Hey Andre,

That’s a good point…we should mention that we swap back and forth with logins on the GKT to avoid the IP ban. We’ve had that before (from LTP and MS) but it only lasted 2 days or so.

I hear what you’re saying about using the GKT from the desktop, but we found that with SECockpit, we just weren’t able to find the .com/.net/.org that we use for any of the keywords that were profitable for AdSense. (We did find them, but significantly less than usual)

Honestly, with as much KW research as we do, we were fine with the price. I was REALLY looking forward to using SECockpit, actually, because it has a sweet UI, is more of an all-in-one solution, etc.

      • Andre Garde says:

I am going to do a blog post on it but I’ll mention it here: with SECockpit, there is another (more efficient) way of mass-checking for EMDs if you want to. It has a feature to export the current list so that you can cut & paste it into GoDaddy, Namecheap, etc. to check for availability. Then you can just register right away.

This is probably something better explained in a video. I’ll try making one this weekend to illustrate a bit better.

    • Zorzan01 says:

      b) Because of a), I got IP banned for a week. Yes, I could’ve made a new AdWords account, but I shouldn’t have to do that.

I did simple searches and slow volume of search queries and was getting continuously banned with LTP. It was crazy! I did one search and ..banned! im not sure what it was.

But guys. Spencer was supportive and provided a lot of replies and care to see things were going ok. I got a refund as LTP wasnt working for my system, i dont know why my google adwords account was getting suspended on using it for searches. I mean i wasnt even using high volume of searches but by all means…. Spencers a great guy .. and ..it just didnt work out for me but id be happy to revisit again using a different ISP or looking at some other angles to get it going.

      • Glad you had a good customer service experience with LTP, but it’s too bad you weren’t able to get it to work. Be sure to stop by again and let us know if you get it working.

  • I’m a big fan of Long Tail Pro. It’s much faster than Market Samurai. I use it almost every day.

    • TryBPO says:

Same here, Mike. It’s working quite well for us.

      • Passionplux says:

I was about to buy LTP but reading people’s adword account getting banned , I am Just at sea.

Is there a way this can be avoided ?

        • I would use an anonymous AdWords account when doing keyword research, especially if you have active AdWords campaigns. All keyword research tools hold this danger — if you hit the Google keyword tool too hard they might suspend your account or IP.

          • ok just wondering as an absolute newb what is the best way to get an anonymous adwords account. I would have to find someone else who does not care about their google stuff and find a proxy? Any good resources on this subject matter. Don’t want to go guns ablazing and find out i just stumbled into a suspension

          • Just sign up for a free Gmail account, then go to AdWords and sign up free. There lot’s of cheap proxies on the internet.
